Voice

Voice disorders come in many forms and arise for many different reasons! They can affect people of all ages and often seem to come completely out of the blue. If you have been affected by a voice disorder, you will know already how integral the voice is to our personal identity and how distressing it can be when this changes. It can also be extremely frustrating trying to change the voice and feeling as though you are getting nowhere!

If you have been diagnosed with a voice disorder (dysphonia in medical-speak), or you think you might have a problem with your voice, please do get in touch here.

Voice therapy typically involves learning about the voice and your individual problem, learning and practising voice exercises and making some changes to how you look after and use your voice. There are no magic wands and it does require some commitment to change!

I am also trained in laryngeal manual therapy, which can be extremely effective if appropriate in your case.
